Navigating through a dental procedure can sometimes feel daunting. But at Arora Dental, we take pride in our ability to transform this journey into a comfortable and stress-free experience. Let us walk you through what to expect during a dental filling procedure at our clinic.
Every dental filling procedure at Arora Dental begins with a comprehensive assessment. We examine your x-rays to identify potential cavities that could be re-mineralized with fluoride and proper home care. Areas past the enamel, however, might need to be restored by our skilled team. For more information on preventing cavities, feel free to read our article on Preventing Cavities: A Comprehensive Guide.
Before the procedure, we aim to make you comfortable and relaxed. Choose your favorite TV show or movie to watch on our overhead TVs while wearing noise-canceling headphones. To numb the area, we use a topical gel before administering local anesthesia. For those who are anxious about the procedure, we offer nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, to decrease anxiety. You can learn more about this in our upcoming article about nitrous sedation here.
Once the area is numb, we proceed to clean the cavity and prepare it for the filling. At Arora Dental, we mostly utilize tooth-colored composite fillings.
We use high-end materials like 1-step bonding called Xeno, which decreases the time for the filling procedure. We also use high-quality flowable/packing composites to ensure the material is strong, aesthetic, and longer-lasting. We utilize loupes during the dental procedure, which allow us to visualize small details of the teeth for better results.
Don't just take our word for it! Here's what some of our satisfied patients have to say:
"The experience was fantastic. The staff were friendly and professional, making my daughter feel comfortable from the moment we arrived." - Daniela Cuesta
"Highly recommend. Everyone on staff is very friendly, professional and goes out of their way to help you figure out what is best for you. Such a comfortable environment." - Natasha Keddy

After your filling procedure, we recommend regular check-ups every six months during which we inspect all fillings to ensure everything is in order. Regular cleanings will also help elongate the life of your composite restorations. Learn more about our preventative dentistry approach here.
